Brother Andrew is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Andrew Robinson. Established in 2015, Brother Andrew has had the honor of opening for notable acts such as Lucy Wainwright, and The Delta Spirit. Based in the Northeast,  Brother Andrew is a revolving door of musical styles, players, and collaborations, held together by the distinct class of songwriting brought on by Robinson.

Robinson’s musical background was something cultivated by his parents and family. Brought up in a large family of brothers, music was a part of daily life from a young age. By the time Robinson had reached middle school, his teachers had taken notice and found his talents useful for playing school functions, as well as singing in the chorus. Being an accomplished swimmer, also from a young age, Robinson would often be coerced into performing the national anthem before his own meets.

Once in high school, Robinson had ditched singing in the choir for performing guitar in a jazz band, eventually turning towards writing his own songs and composing. Initially inspired by his classic rock influences such as The Police, Paul Simon, and The Who, Robinson’s attention towards songwriting led him to follow the tutelage of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Harry Nilsson, and Jeff Buckley.

After playing in several musical groups through high school and throughout college, as well as earning a degree in music, Robinson has made a name for himself as a songwriter and performer through the northeast and both coasts. As of Jan 2023, Brother Andrew is currently working on a full-length album due to be released in the Spring of 2023.
